Dr. Kate Andrews

Kate Andrews is an organisational psychologist who received her PhD (Queensland University of Technology 2000) for research in a knowledge creating company.  Her article Influences on knowledge processes in organizational learning:  the psychosocial filter (Andrews, K.M. & Delahaye, B.  2000, Journal of Management Studies, 37, 6, 797 – 810) is influential, with more than 300 citations. She is adjunct Professor at QUT and teaches knowledge management in the Master of Complex Project Management for defence force leaders of projects including helicopter, submarine, air and land vehicles.  Kate has taught knowledge management and intellectual capital management at masters level in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.  Her consulting practice KNOWABLE (knowable.com.au) is a knowledge asset specialist company that works in the areas of lessons learned, knowledge risk mitigation, knowledge strategy and  knowledge transfer. She also leads seminars on this topic for Engineering Australia.Her clients include rail, road, water, pipeline companies as well as universities and public sector organisations.
